Breast augmentation is a commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedure in the Ogden/Salt Lake City and around the country. It involves enlarging a woman’s breasts through the use of breast implants. There are many different reasons a woman might want to get this procedure. You might want to do this if you feel the size of your breasts is too large and you would be more comfortable and satisfied with your appearance if you had a larger breast size. If you do decide to get the procedure done for whatever reason, now would be a good time to do it. That way you could get a breast augmentation and heal in time for end of summer beach parties or a fall wedding you may be attending. The recovery time depends on the technique used and the placement of the breast implants. Going to a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon will minimize the recovery time as well as possible risks associated with this procedure. Such risks may include bleeding, scarring, infection, and slow healing time. Other complications that may occur, such as loss of sensation and deflation, are rare.

Liposuction, a commonly performed plastic surgery procedure in the Ogden/Salt Lake City area and other cities across the nation, is a safe and accepted medically supervised surgical procedure to remove excess fat.

Liposuction can be performed on several areas of the body, including the abdomen, buttocks, thigh, and upper arms. The procedure is usually done as an outpatient procedure under anesthesia. A suction device is inserted through small holes in the skin and the excess fat is removed with suction. The skin incisions should heal quickly, and complications from the procedure are rare. Walking, as much as is comfortable, is actually good for patients who have had liposuction in order to prevent the risk of blood clotting.

As far as cosmetic surgeries go, the recovery period for liposuction is relatively quick, with most patients returning to normal usually after two weeks. However, a little bit of swelling and bruising in the treated areas should be expected. Results are apparent once the swelling subsides. Although complications are rare, the most common ones include contour irregularities and unevenness.
