Breast Augmentation – Dr. Brzowski Can Help You Get the Look You Desire
May 27th, 2010Breast augmentation is a commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedure in the Ogden/Salt Lake City and around the country. It involves enlarging a woman’s breasts through the use of breast implants. There are many different reasons a woman might want to get this procedure. You might want to do this if you feel the size of your breasts is too large and you would be more comfortable and satisfied with your appearance if you had a larger breast size. A woman who has gone through pregnancy might choose to do so to get her breasts back to the way they were before pregnancy and/or before nursing. You may also want to undergo a breast augmentation if your breasts are not the same size and would like to correct this with breast surgery.
There are two types of breast implants that are used for this procedure, saline or silicone implants. There are also two possible locations to place the implants, above or below the chest muscles. Depending on your goals, breast augmentation can be performed in conjunction with a breast lift or another type of plastic surgery procedure.
Upon a consultation at my office in the Ogden/ Salt Lake City area we will discuss breast implant size, breast shape, and implant type. We will go over selecting the volume of breast implants that will help you achieve the desired breast enhancement. At this time we will also talk about any concerns you may have pertaining to breast augmentation surgery. My goal is to educate you on the procedure so you are able to make an informed discussion that you feel confident about.
If you do decide to get the procedure done for whatever reason, now would be a good time to do it. That way you could get a breast augmentation and heal in time for end of summer beach parties or a fall wedding you may be attending. The recovery time depends on the technique used and the placement of the breast implants. Going to a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon will minimize the recovery time as well as possible risks associated with this procedure. Such risks may include bleeding, scarring, infection, and slow healing time. Other complications that may occur, such as loss of sensation and deflation, are rare.
