A Brazilian butt lift involves harvesting excess fat from another body area, such as waist, buttocks, or thighs, purifying it, and injecting it into the buttocks to create lift, volume, and more rounded, voluptuous curves. The buttocks can also be enhanced with surgery, with a custom buttocks lift.
What is a Brazilian butt lift?
A Brazilian butt lift is a method by which your own (autologous) excess fat is gently extracted with liposuction, purified, and then injected with great care into the upper section of your buttocks to create a rounder, fuller derriere. This procedure is only appropriate for those who have excess fat to harvest. If you are unhappy with the shape and appearance of your rear-end, it can be enhanced, whether with a Brazilian butt lift or surgical butt lift.
What are the steps of a Brazilian butt lift? Is it right for me?
The steps in the process are as follows:
- Gentle liposuction is used to harvest fat cells from another body area – with the added benefit of slimming that area.
- The fat cells are then purified so only the cells remain.
- The purified cells are carefully injected into the upper portion of the buttocks to add volume and create a lifting effect.
Scarring and a surgical butt lift: How we work.
Importantly, we will work with you to position the scar in the most favorable location, and any tattoos will be avoided when possible.
Risks of a butt lift
As with any operation, there are risks of bleeding, poor healing, infection, dissatisfaction with the results, and complications from the anesthetic, or blood clots. Certain behaviors around the time of your surgery can influence your risks of problems such as smoking and failing to follow instructions regarding wound care and activities. You must stop smoking at least three weeks prior to your procedure, and continue to be smoke-free until full healing is verified.
